The brief for this competition was to create a pavilion at Barilla's Parma campus that allowed the public to gain a greater understanding of Barilla's brand and vision for the future. 

 

Our design for the pavilion uses this campus paradigm to create a cluster of buildings with the curated program and in-between spaces for public interaction.

This in-between space was particularly inspired by Italy's strong history of significant public spaces, including it's many famous piazzas, which are integral to the Italian public experience.  We took inspiration from this history to re-imagine a central monumental arcade running through the campus to create an iconic, modern pedestrian path. Intersection the arcade, and between the buildings are piazzas for public interaction and gathering.
